ASSOCIATION OF BUSINESS EXECUTIVES (ABE) - Business Management


Successful organisations, whether large or small, are well managed. The development of management skills within an organisation is an essential part of continued business growth. The Business Management programme (BM) offered by ABE is QCA accredited. It examines many areas of business and management, from marketing to economics and accounting. Qualifications include: Certificate (NQF Level 3), Diploma (NQF Level 5) and Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 6).

ABE - Business Management is made up of the following stages:


Levels

Entry Requirements

Certificate

  • Introduction to Business
  • Introduction to Quantitative Methods
  • Introduction to Accounting
  • Introduction to Business Communication

No formal qualifications are required, but applicants must demonstrate competence in the English Language.

Diploma Part I

  • Economic Principles and their Application to Business
  • Organisational Behaviour
  • Financial Accounting
  • Quantitative Methods for Business and Management

Diploma Part II

  • Marketing Policy, Planning and Communication
  • Human Resource Management
  • Management in Action

Optional (two from the following)

  • Principles of Business Law
  • Systems Analysis and Design
  • Managerial Accounting

ABE Certificate or Two A levels together with four GCSEs at Grade C or above including English Language and Maths or equivalent UK and overseas qualifications.

Advanced Diploma

  • Corporate Strategy and Planning
  • Managing in Organisations
  • International Business Case Study

Optional (two from the following)

  • Strategic Marketing Management
  • Corporate Finance
  • Strategic Human Resource Management for Business Organisation
  • Managing the Information Resource

ABE Diploma in Business Administration or other recognised qualification of an approved Oversees Institution of Higher Education.
