ASSOCIATION OF BUSINESS EXECUTIVES (ABE) - Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management


Tourism is the world’s largest industry with revenues of over $500 billion. Our Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management qualification is QCA accredited and links business principles with sector expertise. ABE has developed a programme in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management, leading to awards at Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma level. The revised programme introduces students to the principles and practice of modern tourism and explores issues such as ecotourism and sustainable tourism.

ABE - Human Resource Management is made up of the following stages:


Levels

Entry Requirements

Certificate

  • Introduction to Business
  • Introduction to Accounting
  • Introduction to Business Communications
  • Introduction to Travel, Tourism & Hospitality

No formal qualifications are required, but applicants must demonstrate competence in the English Language.

Diploma Part I

  • Economic Principles and their Application to Business
  • Organisational Behaviour
  • Financial Accounting
  • Travel, Tourism and Hospitality

Diploma Part II

  • Marketing Policy, Planning and Communication
  • Human Resource Management
  • Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Operations Management

Optional (two from the following)

  • Principles of Business Law
  • Systems Analysis and Design
  • Managerial Accounting

ABE Certificate in Travel, Tourism & Hospitality or Two A levels together with four GCSEs at Grade C or above including English Language and Maths or equivalent UK and overseas qualifications.

Advanced Diploma

  • Corporate Strategy and Planning
  • International Travel, Tourism and Hospitality
  • Tourism and the Environment

Optional (two from the following)

  • Managing in Organisations
  • Strategic Marketing Management
  • Strategic Human Resource Management
  • Managing the Information Resource

ABE Diploma in Travel, Tourism & Hospitality or a degree awarded by a UK or overseas University or other recognised qualification from an approved overseas instituition.
