The BCS Professional Examinations - Computing and IT

Levels

Entry Requirements

Certificate in IT

  • Information Systems
  • Software Development
  • Computer and Network Technology

No formal qualifications are required, but applicants must demonstrate competence in the English Language. Candidates typically educated to UK GCE A-level standard.

Diploma in IT

  • Professional Issues in Information Systems Practice (Core module)
  • Computer Networks
  • Database Systems
  • IT Project Management

No formal qualifications are required, but applicants must demonstrate competence in the English Language. Candidates typically educated to UK GCE A-level standard and at least 19yrs old. Assumes knowledge of the Certificate in IT level modules (or exemption).

Professional Graduate Diploma in IT

  • Advanced Database Management Systems
  • Distributed & Parallel Systems
  • Management Information Systems
  • Network Information Systems

No formal qualifications are required, but applicants must demonstrate competence in the English Language. Candidates typically educated to UK GCE A-level standard and at least 19yrs old. Assumes knowledge of the Certificate in IT and appropriate Diploma in IT level modules (or exemption).
