College rules regarding course and fees
- Students must pay course fees in full before the commencement of the course, unless otherwise arranged with the College.
- Students are required to register with the course awarding bodies and pay the appropriate registration and examination fees. Examination fees will not be refunded in any case.
- The College will not refund any tuition fees once the classes have commenced. If a student decides to cancel the course before commencement, he/she must advise the College at least 4 weeks before the starting date of the course. In that event the student will be refunded the deposit fee after deducting £150 administrative charge. Please allow a minimum of three weeks in order to process refund.
- The College reserves the right to cancel a course without prior notice if there are not enough students or for any other reason. In that event a full fee paid in advance will be refunded to the students or alternatively they will be given the opportunity to transfer to another course if the student so wishes and places are available.
- The College requires all fees to be paid on time. Failure to do so may result in suspension or not being allowed to sit college examinations or the withholding of results.
- Home students who have spent at least one year as a student in the College may pay half of their yearly fees in advance and the remaining fees in three equal instalments within three months from the course commencement date.
- The College reserves the right to review its fee at any time.
Withdrawal from a course and refund of course fees
If you wish to withdraw from a course for whatever reason, then:
- Withdrawals must be made in writing and will only apply from the date received by the College administration.
- For withdrawals received more than four weeks before the course commencement date, an administrative charge of £150 will be deducted from the deposit and any balance amount will be refunded.
- For withdrawals received less than four weeks before the course commencement date, the deposit will not be refunded. Where withdrawals are received after the course commencement date, for whatever reason, no refund will be given. In addition, any balance of outstanding fees on the student's account must be paid in full.
- Overseas students should note that where the College letter has been sent to the Home Office to support a student visa application, the College must notify the Home Office of any withdrawals from the course. Once student has obtained a visa, any fees or deposits paid are non-refundable.
- For students who are unsuccessful in obtaining a visa, a full refund (less the £150 non-refundable administrative charge) will be paid on receipt of the following:
- Original Confirmation of Acceptance for studies (CAS) letter issued by LCC
- The original college receipt (photocopies or fax are not acceptable)
- An original copy of the official visa refusal letter issued by the relevant British High Commission/Embassy. The college may verify the authenticity of the visa refusal letter if deemed necessary
- Letter from Asylum and Immigration Authority confirming dismissal of appeal (if you are appealing visa refusal decision)
- A copy of the photo and signature page of the student's passport.
- Refunds under this section should preferably be submitted before the commencement date of the course, otherwise within the first four weeks of commencement of classes at the very latest.
